Idea:
Revitalization of the historic factory complex. Giving new functions and new values by accentuating the historical side with contemporary architecture.
Function:
The revitalization of the 19th century factory complex of Zygmunt Jarociński combines office and service functions with educational, cultural, gastronomic, recreational and commercial functions. The yarn warehouse and warehouse were adapted for offices with an area of 10 321m2. The exchange office and the residential and warehouse outbuilding house restaurants and clubs, and a shopping mall on the ground floor. The architectural value here is the adapted one of the best-preserved shed roofs in Europe. The newly designed Jarociński Square, created from the warehouse yard, is an integral part of the complex, intended for cultural events: concerts and exhibitions. The new terrace development from the side of the square enables observation and participation in events from the upper floors. Attempt to implement, in the form of a public-private partnership, a multi-storey car park, the high ground floor of which was to be used for the needs of the municipal, local marketplace.
