WATER TOWER IN ŁÓDŹ

Address:

Łódź

Total area:

145m2

Construction permit:

2011r.

Implementation:

2012r.

Idea:

Preserving the historic character of the building through details using modern elements and construction techniques.

Function:

Adaptation of a multifunctional building with a water expansion tank for a single-family house. The building has original wooden and reinforced concrete ceilings, as well as the unchanged dimensions and divisions of window and door openings. Thanks to the extension of the new window and door joinery towards the wall face, the proportions of the external window glyphs of the facade were maintained with an additional thermal insulation cladding. The building has a green roof with a terrace overlooking the nearby park. The facility, equipped with an air-to-water heat pump and a recuperator, subject to comprehensive thermo-modernization, is classified as energy-saving.
