Idea:

The new building of the State University of Information Technology and Entrepreneurship in Łomża is a processor - the brain of the entire university - inserted between the two existing school buildings, activating the institution's activities. Working memory in the form of lecturers' knowledge will be transformed here into specific activities of future graduates.

Function:

The glazed forum - the heart of the processor - integrates the life of the university. The new structure houses 8 classrooms for 60 people each, public areas, forum, café and bar, hotel rooms of lecturers as well as technical and hygienic and sanitary facilities. The "processor" body is surrounded by green terraced gardens. Symbolic circuits in the form of walls separating the gardens visually connect the "processor" with the external public zone. The gardens are intended for experimental crops related to the activities of the Faculty of Computer Science and Food Sciences and, in the semi-private part, they integrate the after-school life of lecturers using the university staff hotel.

Integrated into the space between the existing buildings, the amphitheater makes it possible to organize university events also outdoors. Located under the body of the forum, it creates a communication route, at the same time eliminating the differences in height between the hotel part and the internal streets of the building. The existing buildings of the faculty were adapted to the current educational needs, locating in them additional educational rooms, office rooms, archives, technical facilities as well as social and hygienic and sanitary rooms.
